Guests and Visitors

Welcome to Boise State University! We hope you enjoy your time on campus and thank you for your visit. To help make your visit easy and pleasant, Transportation and Parking Services provides visitor parking options in numerous locations throughout campus. Campus visitors must comply with all University traffic and parking regulations in this document and shall be responsible for such compliance by users of their vehicles. Visitors are encouraged to contact Transportation and Parking Services with any questions at 208-426-7275.

If you are planning to bring a recreational vehicle to campus please contact the Transportation & Parking Services Office at 208 426 7275 for information on the availability of and location(s) for parking.

Pay by Hour Parking

Metered Parking Spaces:

Metered parking spaces are located throughout campus for use by anyone (except those whose parking privileges have been revoked). Regulations governing their use are in effect 24 hours a day.

  • The hourly rate is $1.50 per hour.
  • The maximum time available on a meter varies. A sticker on each meter lists the maximum time allowed.
  • Most meters accept coin, cash and credit or debit card payments.
  • Please report meter problems to us at 208-426-7275. Please be aware that parking at a malfunctioning meter is a parking violation.

Visitor Lots:

Visitor parking spaces are available in The Plaza Lot, located nearest the Administration Building (1910 University Drive). Payment is required at all times. Multi-space parking meters are located within the lot. Prior payment is required at the kiosk in the form of coin, cash or credit cards payments.

  • Rates: $2 per half hour, $4 an hour, $25 a day.

Campus Ambassador Operation Hours:

The Visitor Booth located in The Plaza Lot is open from 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding holidays to assist guest and visitors.

Brady Parking Garage:

Located on the west end of campus at University Drive and Brady Street, the Brady Street Parking Garage is available for pre-paid, pay-by-space and Brady Garage (BG) reserved permit parking. Multi-space payment kiosks are available in the northeast towers of the parking garage, and on the bottom floor of the north and southwest corners of the garage. Parking spaces are numbered throughout the structure; the stall space is required at the time of payment. Coin, cash, and credit cards are accepted at all kiosks. A change machine is located in the bottom floor of the northeast stair tower.

  • Rates: $2 an hour, $10 a day.

Lincoln Avenue Parking Garage:

Located across from the Student Union, central to campus, on University Drive and Lincoln Avenue, the Lincoln Avenue Parking Garage is available for pre-paid, pay-by-space and Lincoln Garage (LG) reserved permit parking. Multi-space payment kiosks are available by the northwest stair towers of the parking garage, and on the bottom floor of the north central and southeast stair towers of the garage. Parking spaces are numbered throughout the structure; the stall space is required at the time of payment. Coin, cash, and credit cards are accepted at all kiosks, as the meter kiosks do not provide change. A change machine is located in the bottom floor of the northwest stair tower, as the meter kiosks do not provide change.

  • Rates: $1.50 an hour, $10 a day.

Day Parking Permits

Are available for those who wish to utilize parking spaces for longer periods than easily accommodated by parking meters. Purchase of these parking permits allow parking in designated areas for specific dates, as issued.

State Accessible Placards

Visitors with a State issued disabled permit may park at any meter on campus with out charge. They may park in the marked accessible spaces in the Brady and Lincoln Parking Garages however, they are required to pay for their time in either parking garage. Vehicles without a Boise State University Issued Accessible Permit are not allowed in to park in other designated accessible areas on campus.
