Spring Commencement will take place on Saturday, May 18, at 10:00 AM. Parking on campus for that day will be free of charge. Please see the following advisory and map below to find out details about parking on campus for commencement:
Summer is the time when construction and maintenance takes place on campus, when the weather is warmer and when it impacts fewer people. We realize that construction can be inconvenient and appreciate your patience as we keep our campus in good working order.
Construction and maintenance projects to begin on May 20 are listed below. Click here for more information (click again to hide info):
The parking rates for the 2013-2014 academic year are available. All permits go on sale July 1, 2013, but reserve permit holders can renew permits for next year online now:
Boise State is expanding it's shuttle bus service this fall to include a loop that services the south part of campus, including stops at the University Manor and the University Village Apartments.
This new bus service will trial from May 2 - 16 and is available to all to ride. Shuttle bus stops are marked by temporary signs along the route. Transportation and Parking Services would love any feedback on the new route. Click here to contact us!
No longer do you have to search for change to pay for parking. You can now conveniently pay by phone to park at campus meters and in the parking garages. Click here to learn more!
Are you living on campus this Spring Semester and planning on bringing a vehicle back to school with you after Spring Break? All Resident Hall Parking Permits will be prorated to $85.00 effective March 21st, 2013.
We will hold the Permit decal in our office for pick up any time after you have completed your online purchase. Please bring your Parking Permit receipt and valid Boise State ID Card to our office in order to obtain your Permit decal. Parking is available free of charge in the Lincoln Ave Garage while you are in our office picking up your Resident Hall Parking Permit. In order to validate your parking, please note your stall number and provide it to a Frontline Staff Member upon entry to our office.
Site-related construction for the new Gene Bleymaier Football Complex will narrow Cesar Chavez Lane to 20 feet, from March 8 through early July, with intermittent westbound lane closures. Motorists and cyclists are asked to use caution when accessing Cesar Chavez Lane between the entrances to the east and west stadium parking lots.
“Our goal is to protect motorists and cyclists yet minimize inconvenience as much as possible,” said Nicole Bandas, assistant director, Transportation and Parking Services. “Cesar Chavez Lane will be narrowed but open to two way traffic, especially during events like BroncoFest 2013, with intermittent westbound lane closures as needed. We are asking cyclists to remain on the Greenbelt.”
Site construction includes landscaping and installation of sidewalk for the new Gene Bleymaier Football Complex. This complex will host the football program and includes coaches’ offices and meeting rooms, an academic center, recruiting lounge, weight room, athletic training room, equipment room, student-athletes lounge and home locker room.
Please refer to the map below for clarification about where the construction will take place:
Beginning Friday, February 22, renovation will begin on the Mathematics/Geosciences building. This project will impact access to the building itself as well as some parking in the Administration Visitor Lot. Please refer to the advisory and map linked below for more details:
To improve campus safety as well as to improve access for charter buses and delivery trucks, there are new parking rules for University Drive by the Student Union Building and the Lincoln Garage. The curb-side areas outside of these two buildings are now designated commercial loading or transit stop zones only, and there will be no public parking in these areas. This is a change of policy that will make the campus safer for pedestrians, as well as making access more convenient for those visiting the Student Union Building. Please refer to the map linked below for details:
Lanes on University Dr. between Brady St and Lincoln Ave will be restricted to one lane in each direction for the remainder of the week, January 16th-18th. The Geothermal project is completing work in the underground vaults and will be testing the Geothermal lines this week prior to the Spring semester starting.
Drivers are recommended to be extra cautious around the construction areas on University Dr at the intersection of Christway Dr and Joyce St. The Administration Visitor Lot will remain open and accessible.
Beginning Friday, December 21, until Friday, January 18, winter intersession parking rules will be in place across campus. If you plan to be parking on campus between those dates, please read the following advisory to familiarize yourself with the winter intersession parking rules:
